ENVIEN Biopaliwa Polska is one of the main biodiesel producers in the Polish market, where it has been operating for more than ten years.

Fatty acid methyl esters are produced in the Polish biorefinery from rapeseed oil, but they can also be obtained from other vegetable oils (e.g. sunflower, soybean, etc.) by transesterification of fats with methanol. The by-products of FAME production are crude glycerine with the content of glycerol over 80% and lecithin sludge. The raw glycerine produced at this plant meets the strictest hygiene standards and can be used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
